Tres volúmenes que se intersectan marcan la envolvente de esta casa. La pureza geométrica se acentúa, además, mediante el uso de materiales. El contraste que se produce entre el cerámico negro y el enfoscado blanco marca unas aristas que potencian la visión de esta casa como una arquitectura de contrastes.

La que a priori parece una arquitectura visual, va tornándose, en una arquitectura de los sentidos.

La textura del material cerámico hace que la experiencia visual del edificio vaya mucho más allá del ojo. La presencia de las rasgaduras horizontales de las piezas potencian la cualidad háptica de la arquitectura.

Los límites, aparentemente claros, se desdibujan a medida que recorremos el edificio. Los voladizos, las piedras, el agua… transforman el perímetro fijo en contornos holgados.

El mismo concepto se repite en el interior. Los cambios de materiales, texturas, colores, acompañan al usuario en la vivencia del espacio.

La creación de umbrales transforma la experiencia de tránsito entre un área y otra, suavizando las transiciones entre ambientes. La atmósfera seduce, no conduce.

Three intersecting volumes mark the envelope of this house. Geometric purity is further accentuated by the use of materials. The contrast between the black ceramic tiles and the white rendering marks edges that enhance the vision of this house as an architecture of contrasts.

What at first sight appears to be a visual architecture gradually becomes an architecture of the senses.

The texture of the ceramic material makes the visual experience of the building go far beyond the eye. The presence of the horizontal tears in the pieces enhances the haptic quality of the architecture.

The apparently clear boundaries become blurred as we walk through the building. The overhangs, the stones, the water… transform the fixed perimeter into loose contours.

The same concept is repeated in the interior. The changes of materials, textures, colours, accompany the user in the experience of the space.

The creation of thresholds transforms the experience of transit between one area and another, softening the transitions between environments. The atmosphere seduces, it does not lead.
